St Francis v Portmarnock AFC U8 Red
St Francis v Portmarnock AFC U8 Red
Our u8 Sunday reds travelled out to Baldonnell to play one of the big hitters of DDSL football. On a windy day with driving rain the team played some excellent football and scored plenty of goals. Max Irwin assured us he scored 7 overall so was top scorer. The team have really quick players in leon fitz, Jack o'Connor and Ronan Mc Nally, natural centrehalves in Niall Keating and Alfie Thompson. Rian Rogan loves to put the gloves on and is also capable of striking a ball on goal from 20 yards and hitting the target. The whole squad move between defence and attack with ease with Michael Beglan, Danial O' Brien, Robert Dempsey showing their versatility. Every team need their Ronaldo tricksters and we have ours in Cillian McCauley and Eoin Madden.
We usually acknowledge our hat trick heroes, this week's honour goes to Niall Keating. With the carpark facing the goals and all the cars parked feet away, Niall had three shots in a row, all three off target and all three hit three different cars windscreens. Well done Niall, hopefully all the cars had insurance.
