"Portmarnock come up short in real thriller", Paul Byrne writes for the Fingal Independent.
Despite an impressive start from Portmarnock against Crumlin United, the senior team were unlucky in their efforts as Crumlin "came out on the right side of a six goal thriller" at Sunday's home game.
Noteworthy mentions in the Fingal Independents match report for Noel McGinnity and Ray Whelehan who “combined well in midfield” and played to Chris Burgess who “made no mistake with a neat finish” in the first minute of the game.
Portmarnock’s second goal came from Graham Rusk as the match rolled into the final quarter, by “slotting the ball home to make it 3-2".
It was an unlucky defeat for the senior lads as “they ended up losing a thriller 4-2”.
